Terms of Use

At LingoMe, we want you to use our Service with clarity and confidence. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) explain your rights and responsibilities when using LingoMe websites, mobile applications, and related services (“Service”). The Service currently includes a mobile application for vocabulary learning and a website for IELTS preparation, and may become a more unified English-learning product over time.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Please note that LingoMe is constantly improving and testing new features. Some features or functionalities described in these Terms may not be available to all users or in all regions.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 where required by law) to create an account and use LingoMe.

If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with parental or guardian consent.

2. Account Registration

To use certain features, you may need to create an account and provide information such as your name (or nickname) and email address.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or misuse the Service.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

LingoMe may offer paid features (“Premium”) on a subscription basis. Prices, trial offers, billing periods, and available plans may vary by platform, region, and current product offering. The applicable price and billing terms will be shown before you complete your purchase.

Mobile app subscriptions

Purchases made in the LingoMe mobile app are processed through RevenueCat and the respective app stores (Apple App Store or Google Play). These subscriptions are managed under the billing, renewal, cancellation, and refund rules of the relevant app store.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Your subscription automatically renews for the same duration and at the then-current price unless you cancel it in your account settings before the end of the current subscription period.
  • The timing of renewals and charges is determined by the rules and policies of the respective app store (Apple App Store or Google Play).

You can manage or cancel your mobile app subscription in your account settings:

  • On iOS: in your Apple ID Subscriptions settings.
  • On Android: in your Google Play Subscriptions settings.
Website subscriptions

Purchases made on the LingoMe website are processed through Paddle. Paddle may act as the authorized reseller and merchant of record for website purchases, which means Paddle may handle checkout, billing, tax calculation, invoices, subscription management, and payment support for those purchases.

Website subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel a website subscription through the links provided by Paddle in your receipt, checkout, or subscription-management emails.

If you cancel, you will retain access to Premium features until the end of the current billing period unless your access changes because of a refund, chargeback, abuse, or another payment-related issue.

Refunds

Refunds for purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are handled according to the refund policies of the respective store. Any refund requests should be submitted via the corresponding store interface.

Website subscription refunds are described in our Refund Policy. We currently offer a 14-day full refund guarantee for website subscriptions purchased through Paddle.

4. Use of the Service

You agree to use LingoMe only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without permission
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
  • Upload or transmit harmful or unlawful content

The Service has a daily token limit. Once this daily token limit is reached, access to features of the Service that consume tokens will be temporarily suspended until the limit resets on the next calendar day. In addition to the daily token limit, we apply separate rate limits to certain requests or features to maintain fair and stable operation of the Service.

We may update or modify the Service at any time to improve performance or add features.

5. Content and Intellectual Property

All materials within LingoMe, including text, graphics, logos, icons, illustrations, and software, are the property of Individual Entrepreneur Semen Vetoshkin or our licensors.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service solely for your personal learning purposes.

This does not apply to third-party content or open-source components, which are distributed under their respective licenses.

6. User Data and Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and process data such as your email, learning progress, vocabulary activity, IELTS writing submissions, estimated band scores, feedback, analytics data, and onboarding information.

By using LingoMe, you consent to this processing and to the use of trusted third-party services such as Cloudflare, OpenAI, Novita AI, Together AI, RevenueCat, Paddle, SendGrid, and Google Analytics.

7. Service Availability

We strive to keep LingoMe available and reliable but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation or error-free performance.

We may temporarily suspend access for maintenance, security, or operational reasons.

8. Termination

You may stop using LingoMe at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or if continued operation becomes impractical.

Upon termination, your license to use the Service ends immediately.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

LingoMe is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

We do not guarantee that the Service will meet your expectations, be error-free, or result in specific learning outcomes.

LingoMe may provide IELTS preparation tools, AI feedback, writing corrections, and estimated band scores. These outputs are for educational purposes only. We do not guarantee any official IELTS score, exam result, admission result, immigration result, or other outcome. LingoMe is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by the owners or administrators of IELTS.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Individual Entrepreneur Semen Vetoshkin is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of LingoMe.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically to reflect new features or legal requirements.

The most current version will always be available in the app and at https://lingome.app/terms.

Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Armenia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Any disputes shall be resolved through the competent courts of Armenia, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer-protection law.
