b. Usage and learning data

  • Token usage (amount of learning content processed per user)
  • Words studied, progress by day, and activity streaks
  • General interaction metrics with lessons and features 

c. Technical information

  • Device type, operating system, app version
  • IP address, time zone, and language preferences
  • Crash and performance data

d. Information from third-party providers

  • LingoMe may process and share certain personal information with trusted third-party service providers for the purpose of operating, improving, and securing the Service. To support these functions, we work with a variety of third-party vendors, such as OpenAI, Together AI, RevenueCat, SendGrid, and Cloudflare. These partners assist with payment processing and subscription validation, generation of educational content and learning feedback, speech-to-text transcription of user voice input, transactional and support communications, secure content delivery and protection. Hosting and data storage are located in Germany.

2. How We Use Information

We use your data to:

  • Operate and improve the app’s functionality
  • Personalize lessons and track your progress
  • Manage subscriptions and purchases
  • Communicate important updates or account information
  • Ensure security, detect abuse, and comply with legal obligations

We may also use aggregated or anonymized statistics to analyze usage patterns and improve our educational content. Such data cannot identify individual users.

We may share limited data with trusted service providers listed above, solely to operate our Services under confidentiality and data-processing agreements.

We may disclose information:

User data is primarily stored on servers located in Germany (Digital Ocean).

Third-party processors may transfer or process information in other jurisdictions under appropriate safeguards.

5. Data Retention

We retain user data only as long as necessary to provide our Services and for legitimate business purposes (e.g., legal or accounting obligations).

You can delete your account at any time via the in-app settings. When you delete your account, your personal data is removed from our active systems. However, backups may retain copies of your data for up to 7 days solely for disaster-recovery purposes, after which the data is permanently removed from backup storage.

Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., EU GDPR, UK DPA, CCPA), you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your data
  • Withdraw consent at any time
